Chicago hosts the Phoenix Suns on Saturday and one player we expect to struggle scoring is Coby White of the Bulls. White has been UNDER his scoring prop in 3 straight games and UNDER 20.5 points in 10 of his last 15 games. He is averaging 18ppg on the season, shooting 43% overall and 37% from Deep. He averages 32.7 minutes per game and in games where he plays 30-33 minutes, he has stayed UNDER his scoring prop in 10 of the last twelve games. The Suns defense has done well against similar players to White in recent games holding opponents UNDER their scoring prop in 5 of the last six games. 60% of White’s scoring (excluding FT’s) comes from beyond the arc and the Suns 3PT% defense is 11th best in the league.

ASA NBA Player Prop Bet – OVER 30.5 POINTS + REBOUNDS – Nikola Vucevic – Chicago Bulls

We like Vucevic to have a big game against the Suns on Saturday. The Suns struggle to stop opposing Centers as they give up the 3rd most rebounds per game at 16.6 and allow the 4th most points per game at 23.5. Vucevic went through a slump right before the trade deadline as he was being shopped heavily but the Bulls. In his first game after the break against the Knicks he had a big Pts+Rebs game of 30 against New York. The significance of that number is that it came against a Knicks team that allows the 4th fewest Rebounds and Points p/game to opposing Centers. In two games against the Suns last season Vucevic had total Pts+Rebs of 32 and 36. We like him to go OVER 30.5 today.

ASA’s NBA FREE PLAYER PROP BET – OVER 23.5 POINTS CJ MCCOLLUM – Pelicans

CJ McCollum is coming off a horrendous shooting game versus the Lakers going 4 of 15 from the field. It wasn’t an issue throughout the game as his teammate Zion Williamson was scoring at will with 40-points prior to getting hurt. CJ will have to step up here against a Kings defense that ranks 21st in opponents FG% and 28th in opponents 3PT%. McCollum has scored more than his prop total in 7 of his last eight games and is inline for a big bounce back game here with Williamson on the shelf.

My betting strategy with these props. If you are betting at an online fantasy site then you already know you have to essentially parlay your bets into a minimum of 2-teamers. Zubac is coming off a solid 20-point game in the Clippers opener against the Blazers and while we doubt he’ll get to 20 tonight, we do expect him to eclipse 11. Against the Blazer Zubac had 10 field goal attempts with 5 offensive rebounds. The Jazz struggled to defend centers last season allowing the 7th most points to that position at 23.8PPG. Last season the Jazz allowed the 5th most offensive rebounds to opponents which means Zubac should get a few easy put-backs here. ASA NBA PLAYER PROP – OVER 16.5 POINTS+ASSIST – Dennis Schroder – Toronto Raptors

The Raptors host the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight and we expect a big game from the Raptors’ new starting PG Dennis Schroder. Toronto brought in the veteran Schroder to shore up their backcourt after losing Fred VanVleet in the offseason. He is inline for a big game tonight at home against a porous T-Wolves defense that was 20th overall in defensive efficiency ratings. Defending point guards was especially problematic for the Wolves as they were 3rd worst in the league a year ago in that department. Last year as a Lakers, Schroder totaled 18 and 17 points+assists in two games against the T-Wolves and one of those games was as a reserve in just 22 minutes of play. Last season Schroder averaged 17.1 points+assists per game, and as we mentioned those numbers come with him not being a full-time starter. In the Raptors last two preseason games he had 19 and 19 Pts+Ass in 23 and 28 minutes. In this home opener we expect Schroder to really focus on getting all of his teammates involved which will lead to a big assists number and the points are an added bonus.
