One of the major sports gets back into action today with Nascar taking the track at Darlington Speedway. The Real Heroes 400 Nascar Cup Series will take place today at 3:30PM ET on FOX TV. This will be the first Nascar race since March 8th and fans and sports bettors could not be more excited. Like any sporting event, if there is an advantage to be found and a chance to exploit the bookmakers, we will find it! HEAD TO HEAD BETS:
Brad Keselowski -121 over Martin Truex Jr -108 (Bet Keselowski -121) – This is our strongest wager of the day as Keselowski has had great success on this track with five finishes in the Top 10, four in the top 5 and 1 win in his last ten events in Darlington. Truex Jr. has not finished in the top 10 in Darlington the past two seasons and he will have to make up ground right from the start as Keselowski has the pole position for this race Sunday. The #2 car and Keselowski won here two year’s ago and is certainly capable of winning this race today.
Kevin Harvick -136 over Joey Logano +104 (Bet Harvick -136) – Going into the Covid-19 break from racing, no other racer was hotter than Joey Logano but the time off and lack of success on this track make him an attractive “bet against”. Logano had 2 wins, 4 top fives and 6 top tens in his last ten overall races. The driver right behind him though is Kevin Harvick at 366 total points with 1 win, 5 top fives and 9 top tens. Harvick has had better success at Darlington Raceway than Logano who has never won here in eleven tries. Harvick has finished in the top 5 four times in the last five races here and won in 2014. Harvick has led 567 laps, most of the top five drivers on this track in the last 10 races here. Ask yourself this, isn’t it strange the red hot Logano is an underdog in this matchup? Bet Harvick!
RACE LINE BETS:
Race line bet: Keselowski to finish top 3 +$185 – Described above is why we like Keselowski in todays race along with the fact that 7 of the last fourteen winners at Darlington have held the pole position.
Race line bet: Denny Hamlin to win +$650 – Denny Hamlin has run extremely well in Darlington with 2 wins in the last five years (2015, 2017). No other racer has won here more than him in the last 14 years as he has captured the checkered flag five times. Hamlin had a win earlier this year in Daytona and has finished 992 of 992 laps this season. In 2019 Hamlin won 6 times, finished top 5 nineteen times (52.8%) and top 10 twenty-four times (66.7%). In the last 10 races at the Darlington track no other driver has earned more points than Hamlin at 504 as he has won twice, has 6 top five finishes and 8 top tens. 4 of the last five winners have been in a Toyota.
