#3 – SOUPER SENSATIONAL – 6/1 – WIN & PLACE – As we stated earlier, we really feel that Mark Casse is loaded this weekend as he’s primed up his stable to shine on Oaks Day and Derby day.

This daughter of Curlin wintered in the Big Easy and was knocking heads with the big legged fillies down in the bayou. They tried to get her to route, but that’s not her game and it took her out of her true running style.

Now, she’s back at the correct distance where she’s undefeated going 7 furlongs over the sticky stuff.

Those two filles that she finished behind in the Fairgounds Oaks could run 1-2 today in the Kentucky Oaks! We really love how she’s trained since arriving to the Ville from the Big Easy.

Note her 3 works leading up to this race and this field is loaded with speed and we see Johnny securing a nice stalking trip and he’s going to unleash her down the lane this afternoon, back to the winner’s circle.

KENTUCKY DERBY

CONTENDER PREVIEW

#1 – KNOWN AGENDA (KY)
Jockey: Irad Ortiz, Jr.
Trainer: Todd A. Pletcher
Owner: St. Elias Stable
Breeder: St. Elias Stables, LLC
Sire (Sire’s Sire, Dam): Curlin (Smart Strike (CAN), Sherriff’s Deputy)
Dam (Dam’s Sire, Dam): Byrama (GB) (Byron GB), Aymara (GB)

Well, this son of Curlin really became a different horse after Todd Pletcher added the blinkers. He’s ran off the screen in those two starts and also take note that he’s extended his lead from the stretch to the finish line in each of his past two races and both those victories, he was finishing with authority.

Known Agenda’s first race with the hood was really impressive, we loved how he took Irad to the leaders on the turn all by himself with no encouragement from Irad and when he got even with the leader that afternoon,  he was just in a gallop and the leader was all out at the top of the lane.

Known Agenda, really didn’t run the last 1/8th of the race as he was geared down by Irad.

Known Agenda wheeled right back in the Florida Derby and was let go at 5/1 that afternoon as he didn’t get much respect off his last big effort. He once again stalked the pace laying in the 5th position along the rail as in his prior race, he took Irad to the leaders on his own and then Irad had to ask him down the lane and he responded with authority once again to draw away at the 1/8th pole to a 2 ¾ length win.

FLORIDA DERBY REPLAY

One other big factor is Known Agenda finished this race in the correct manner to win a Kentucky Derby as he came home the last 3F in 36.66 and his last 1/8th was in 12.84!
