ASA play on: Morehead State +12.5 @ Murray State, 5PM ET
These two teams are trending in opposite directions as Murray State has not played up to expectations while Morehead State is exceeding them. Morehead State has played a tougher schedule than Murray State and have been competitive in most. In their last game out the Eagles battled a good Clemson team for the entire game only to lose by 14-points. Against a similar team to Murray State, Eastern Kentucky, the Eagles lost twice by 13 and 3-points. The Racers have essentially lost three straight games if we throw out a win over Transylvania. Morehead State can neutralize one advantage the Racers typically hold against opponents which is rebounding, When Murray State doesn’t win the boards they normally don’t win. The Racers have one of the longest home winning streaks in college basketball at 25 games but without the normal fan base that advantage gets neutralized some. While we don’t think the Eagles can win this game outright, we do feel they can hang within double-digits. Grab the points.
