ASA OVER 1.5 3-POINTERS MADE – Russell Westbrook LA Lakers

This looks like a gift to us as the Rockets are one of the worst teams in the league defending the 3-point line as they allow 36.8% which is 26th in the NBA. Granted, Westbrook isn’t known for his outside shooting but he has made 2 or more 3’s in 5 of his last six games. The Rockets allow the 2nd most 3-pointers made to PG’s this season at 3.4 per game. Russ will get 2 or more tonight.

ASA play on UNDER 224.5 Toronto Raptors @ NY Knicks, 3PM ET

These two teams have met twice this season with both games staying below the number with 220 and 219 total points being scored. The O/U numbers set by the oddsmakers on those two games were 216.5 so you can see for yourself the value in today’s number. Historically, if we look back at the last nine meetings the most combined points scored by these two teams is 225. All other meetings have been less than that. We are expecting both defenses to dominate in this game as the Raptors allow the 8^th fewest points in the NBA, the Knicks allow the 7^th fewest. Both teams are also slower paced so we know it won’t be a high possession game. The Raptors are the 4^th slowest team in the NBA at 97.2 possessions per game, the Knicks are 8^th slowest at 97.8 possessions per game. The Knicks are coming off a road game yesterday and their games average 218.7PPG when they play without rest. Unless both teams shoot well above their season averages, we can’t see this game going Over the Total.

Pope is shooting it at a career high clip from deep at 47.9% this season. He is averaging four 3-point attempts per game in his last ten and making an average of 2.2. He seems to shoot better at home as he has made 2 or more 3-pointers in 5 straight in Denver. These teams have met 3 times this season already and Pope has made 7 total 3-pointers.

The Lakers will be without LeBron and Anthony Davis tonight which means more of a burden falls on Westbrook. In his last three games Westbrook has totaled 38, 38 and 43 Pts+Res+Ass respectively. These same two teams met in mid-December and Russ put up a stat line of 15 points, 12 assists and 9 rebounds, narrowly missing a triple-double. Denver is the worst team in the league defending point guards when it comes to scoring as they allow over 27PPG.

The Lakers will be without LeBron and Anthony Davis tonight which means more of a burden falls on Westbrook. In his last three games Westbrook has totaled 23, 18 and 21 points respectively. Denver is the worst team in the league defending point guards when it comes to scoring as they allow over 27PPG. With an O/U of 237 there will be plenty of points scored by both and Westbrook should get his fair share.

ASA player prop OVER 2.5 3-POINTERS CJ McCollum – New Orleans Pelicans

McCollum has made 3 or more 3-pointers in 3 straight games and 4 of his last five games. He averages 2.31 makes per game on the season but will have an increased usage here with two of the Pelicans leading scorers out tonight. The Spurs are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA ranking 30^th in PPG allowed, 30^th in opponents FG% and 3PT%. We expect McCollum to make 4 or more tonight.

ASA player prop OVER 21.5 POINTS Kyle Kuzma – Washington Wizards

Kyle Kuzma returns to Utah where he played in college, and we are betting he puts up big numbers tonight. Kuzma is averaging 21.55PPG on the season and has improved that average to 24.5PPG in his last nine games. He has scored 22 or more in 3 of his last four games. He will get plenty of opportunities here as he averages 19.2 field goals attempts per game in his last ten. The Jazz are 26^th in the NBA in defensive efficiency rating for the season and have been even worse in their last five games, giving up 1.166 points per possession. Utah is the 5^th worst team when it comes to defending power forwards as they allow 23.7PPG on 52.6% shooting.
