WISCONSIN – UNDER 8.5 Wins
We think if the Badgers get to 8-4 this year it would be a solid season. They won just 7 regular season games last year with a MUCH easier schedule. This year they face OSU, Michigan, AND Michigan State from the Big Ten East. They face 5 teams this year that are coming off a bye including Iowa, Nebraska, and Purdue. Wisconsin is inexperienced at QB and might be going with true freshman Graham Mertz under center if not to begin the season, possibly a few weeks in. While he is very talented, he’s still only 18 years old. They lost 4 of their top 5 tacklers and only return 1 starting offensive lineman. They close the season with 4 of their final 6 games on the road and we feel if they get to 9 wins it would be a fantastic season. With Nebraska & Minnesota improving in the West and a much tougher cross-over schedule as we discussed, we’ll call for the Badgers to finish 8-4 and stay under this total.
