ASA play on: Denver Nuggets -2.5 @ Golden State Warriors, 10:10PM ET
This game will have a little more meaning for the Nuggets as they recently lost to the Warriors and it was the game Jamal Murray suffered a season ending knee injury. The Nuggets have gone 4-0 without Murray and remain a serious contender in the West. Denver made a huge acquisition at the trade deadline when they landed Aaron Gordon from Orlando. The Nugs have gone 10-2 SU with Gordon who returns home to the Bay area for a big game against the Warriors. Denver rates better offensively and defensively than the Warriors with the 4th highest scoring offense for the Nuggets going up against a Warriors team that is 21st in PPG allowed per game. Denver is a top 10 offensive team in scoring, FG%, 3-pt% and O-rebounds. Denver also has a defense that is 10th in points allowed per game and more importantly here, the 10th ranked 3-point percentage defense. When you think of Golden State you automatically think offense. The Warriors though are 15th in scoring, 17th in overall FG% and 12th in 3-point shooting. We like the scheduling advantage for the Nuggets here too as they are on the West coast while Golden State is coming off a tough 5 game East coast trip. Steph Curry was on a serious hot streak scoring but ran into a wall the other night in Washington. Denver gets a measure of revenge here. Lay the points.
