Kenny Schmitt – NCAA Misleading Final Results Oct 4th

Greetings My Friends,

The Tuesday edition of our newsletter will feature, what we call NCAA misleading final scores.  Remember their is much more to a game than the highlights, final score, & team rankings.  We dig into the meat of the game, we look at KEY PLAYS, Yards Per Play, Turnovers, & First Downs!  When handicapping football, their is much more than who’s facing each other on the gridiron!

One other note we want to STRESS, when it comes to handicapping and or wagering you have to take out your emotional trait from your inner self at that time. You have to become an UNBIASED individual with no distortion in your mind at all. This is true in all means of life, but especially IMPORTANT when wagering your hard earned MONEY!

Total Domination

Notre Dame Vs. Stanford – It wasn’t the luck of the Irish on Saturday night. It was an ASS WHIPPING the Irish gave the Cardinal of Stanford. The Irish totally dominated this game and as we stated last week Buyer Beware moving forward on the Irish.  If they go into Blacksburg and whip the Hokies, I cannot see how thy won’t go undefeated and make it into the NCAA Playoffs.  We told you all about Ian Book, and what an encore performance he displayed against the Cardinal.  His stat line as follows (24-33-278/4td) & (15/47 on the ground)!  This TOTAL DOMINATION, take a look at the final numbers of the game.

FIRST DOWNS

NOTRE DAME – 29

STANFORD – 10

NOTRE DAME – 550

STANFORD – 229

RUSHING YARDS

NOTRE DAME – 272

BOISE ST. Vs. WYOMINGBoise really kicked the Cowboys butts on Saturday night, much more than the scoreboard shows.  The Broncos of Boise was one of our client plays and I keep waiting for the old backdoor fromWyoming.  But we escaped with the W!!  But the game really wasn’t close in the trenches at all.  Take note of this, Wyoming scored two TD’s on the following plays (75 yards TD run by Nico Evans & 72 yard TD reception by James Pricce)!  Those two plays accounted for 147 yards and they only had 295 total yards on the night. They ran 50 plays and 2 of them accounted for 147 yardsand the remaining 48 plays, they only gained 148 yards which equates to 3.0 yards per play.

FIRST DOWNS

BOISE ST. – 29

WYOMING – 11

TOTAL YARDAGE

BOISE ST. – 506

WYOMING – 295

TOTAL PLAYS

BOISE ST – 89

WYOMING – 50

T.O.P.

BOISE ST. – 40 MINUTES

WYOMING – 20 MINUTES

WASHINGTON Vs. B.Y.U. –  The Huskies dominated the Cougars of B.Y.U the entire game.  B.Y.U. didn’t score until 41 seconds left in the game. What you need to remember is that B.Y.U. already has won against Arizona and Wisconsin on the road! What’s amazing is their isn’t a any turnover difference as each team had one turnover.  The Huskies are the forgotten team, since they lost to Auburn in week 1!!  The Huskies offense isn’t still clicking on all cylinders as of now, but they will be more efficient as the year moves forward.  The Huskies held the Cougars to 34 yards rushing on 28 carries!! That’s DOMINATION, the B.Y.U. Cougars ran for 183 yards vs. Arizona and also ran for 191 yards against the Badgers of Wisconsin!!

FIRST DOWNS

WASHINGTON – 26

B.Y.U. – 7

TOTAL YARDAGE

WASHINGTON – 464

B.Y.U. – 194

RUSHING YARDS

WASHINGTON – 187

B.Y.U. – 34

NCAA MISLEADING FINALS

NEVADA Vs. AIR FORCE – The only thing close about this game was the FINAL SCORE Nevada was driving to make it 14-0 in the 2nd quarter, only to be picked off at the 1 and Air Force returned it 99 yards for the TD! After that Int, the Wolfpack scored 14 unanswered points to lead 21-7 at halftime. It should’be been 28-0!  Nevada out gained the Falcons in total yardage by a margin of 436-250 and also had a 3.0 yard per play advantage as well.  The Wolfpack averaged 6.5 yards per play and the Falcons only averaged 3.5 yards per play.  The biggest difference in this game was the POPCORN called against the Wolfpack. They were flagged 13 times for 103 yards and Air Force only had 5 flags for 40 yards!!!

OREGON Vs. CALIFORNIA – The Ducks were at the right place and the right time this week. As they were on the wrong side last week, when they lost to Stanford!  The Cal Golden Bears played right there with the Ducks.  But key turnovers at key times in the game is what cost the Bears a shot at winning.  With only 18 seconds before halftime the Bears fumbled and the Ducks scooped it up and returned it 61 yards for a TD!!! Once again the Bears throw another INT and the Ducks return it for another defensive score!! There was only 58 yards separating these two teams (Oregon 485  /  Cal 427)! We had the under in this one and you’ll never win an under selection with 2 defensive touchdowns and a total of 6 turnovers!

Best of luck this weekend ~ Kenny Schmitt
