Who is ASA?
The year was 1997. ASA Inc.opens up business in June and gets ready for its first football season. Lee had been at Doc’s polishing his handicapping skills since 1989. Mike joined Doc’s staff in 1990. They were definitely well prepared to start their own handicapping service.
It was a great opening season to say the least. We finished second in the nation in college football picks and NFL picks combined as documented by the Sports Monitor in Oklahoma City. We were eighth nationally in college football and third in the country in the NFL individually. Our price for that fantastic season in 1997 was $795.
Our price for the fantastic upcoming 2010 football season is just $895. That’s less than a eight percent increase in our cost despite the fact we are entering our 14th football season. Let’s compare that with what other products and services cost back in 1997.
Why did we decide to put those 1997 numbers on our site this year? Well, first of all, it’s crazy to see how prices have sky rocketed over the span of just 13 years.
Secondly, while the cost of other products and services have doubled and tripled in some cases, the ASA full football season price has gone up just eight percent over the last 13 years. We could have gone the route of numerous services and escalated our prices drastically. We made the decision to keep our prices affordable to as many people as possible.
With the market and economy in flux right now, the 2010 ASA Full Season Football Service is a great investment opportunity. That’s the way to look at it. While many of you do it for the fun and excitement, don’t forget it is an investment. After a solid winning campaign in 2007, 2008 and another in 2009, we have now been plus money in TEN of our 13 football seasons (77 percent).
Last year we were +45-net stars (juice included) so at $100 per star you would have shown a nice profit of $4,500. Our Top Games (5 stars and above) came in with a record of 14-10. That means our Top Games have now been profitable in ELEVEN of our 13 seasons (85 percent). We have been as consistent as any service in the country and that will continue into the 2010 football season.
If you are the more conservative type and want fewer picks, our Top Game Package is for you. You’ll get approximately 20 to 25 games on the season with all of them rated 5 stars or higher. Remember, we have had ELEVEN winning seasons in 13 years (85 percent) on football top games which is why we have earned the reputation as the BEST BIG GAME service in the country!
If you are looking for more games each week, our Full Season Football package is what you are looking for. We release anywhere from five to 10 plays each week (college and NFL combined). This includes our Top Games (5 stars and above). In our 13-year history, we have been profitable in TEN of those seasons (77%) with our Full Season Football Package.
Finally, if it’s EVERYTHING you want, we have the package for you. It’s our 365 All-Sports Package. You simply pay a yearly membership fee and then only $99 per month which gets you every pick in every sport we have for a full 12-month period.
